Who could forget the iconic Chain Reaction music video, which sees H from Steps rushed to hospital with a broken heart?
Starting with a one-take continuous shot in a hospital, the video then shows Steps ascend to an ethereal realm, dancing among blue panels representing clouds.
The best available copy of the music video was on analogue tape known as Beta SP, which had a bit of distortion known as "sparkling" due to its age.
So we cleaned it up and upscaled it to high definition, ready to be enjoyed by the YouTube generation.
As part of the remastering process we found some unused rushes from the music video and so we video-called the original director Patrick Kiely. We used this footage to create a behind-the-scenes interview video for the official Steps YouTube channel.
